The new Ernie Ball Music Man Jason Richardson Signature Cutlass guitar is an awesome modern take on the Music Man Cutlass style guitar. Available as a six-string or seven-string model it features a Rorschach or Buckeye Burl black burst finish on an alder body. The 15” radius, 24 fret (jumbo) neck is select figure roasted maple with an ebony fretboard it is hand shaped with a shallow neck carve to allow for fast playing. Hardware will be either black or gold depending on the finish that is selected. This modern take on a Cutlass compliments Jason’s fast and technical style. The custom-wound humbucker pickups have a great balance of brilliant top end and heavy rhythm tones. Both models have a Music Man floating tremolo system bridge. String changes are simple with the Schaller locking tuners. Controls consist of a custom Music Man active preamp w/ Silent Circuit; 25kohm push/push volume POT for gain boost, 500kohm push/push tone POT for pickup coil-splitting. A 3-way pickup selector switch selects the pickup configuration. As with all Music Man guitars, these are exquisitely made in San Luis Obispo, California. In my opinion, Music Man makes guitars that just feel comfortable. These are no exception to that and offer a modern take on the cutlass series.
