Fender adds a Jazzmaster version to their Acoustasonic lineup. For awhile now I have wondered how the popularity of the slightly expensive Acoustasonic guitars were holding up. Apparently they must be doing quite well as Fender has now added this third model to their Acoustasonic lineup. This innovative guitar features the iconic Jazzmaster body shape and innovative electronics. The included electronics have a three pickup system, new Fender Acoustasonic Shawbucker; Fishman Under-Saddle Transducer; Fishman Acoustasonic Enhancer. With these extremely versatile pickups you can produce electric rhythm tones to multiple acoustic timbres. A mod knob selects and blends the different voices. The Jazzmaster version of the Acoustasonic has the biggest body size of the current models which results in a fuller acoustic sound and boosted low end. The Acoustasonic Shawbucker pickup produces a humbucking sound that can be played either solo or blended with one of the acoustic voicings. This Jazzmaster has a mahogany body and neck with an ebony fretboard. It is available in five different colors - Ocean Turquoise, Arctic White, Natural, Tobacco Sunburst, and Tungsten. When it comes to having a versatile guitar, Fender is clearly delivering us several options now in the Acoustasonic line.
